Our Fence Repair Process

Learn how New England Cedar Fence handles wood fence and gate repair in MA, NH, and Southern ME

Our process for wood fence and gate repair is designed to be straightforward, from first contact through completion.

1. Initial contact and photos

Start by calling or emailing us with a brief description of the issue and photos of the fence and surrounding area. This allows us to confirm that the project is a good fit and to understand the scope before we visit.

2. Remote review and on-site assessment

We review your photos and notes and, for most repairs, schedule an on-site visit to inspect the fence, gate, and posts in person. During the visit we look at structure, alignment, drainage, and access so that the repair plan is realistic and durable.

3. Written proposal

After the visit, you receive a written proposal outlining:

  • The recommended repair approach
  • Materials to be used
  • Estimated schedule
  • Itemized pricing

This gives you a clear basis for deciding between repair and possible future replacement.

4. Project scheduling and installation

Once you approve the proposal, we schedule the work and complete the repairs with the same crews and standards we apply to new cedar fence installations. We aim to minimize disruption to the yard and leave the site clean when the work is finished.

To align with crew and equipment costs, we maintain the following minimums for repair work:

  • Minimum fence repair: 1,200
  • Minimum gate work: 600
